Health and Nutrition Technical Program Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Nutrition Technical Program Coordinator will lead the planning, design, monitoring and implementation of health, nutrition and WASH projects within the designated cluster, ensuring alignment with World Vision Burundi’s strategy and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and supervise integrated health, nutrition and WASH activities, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with national and district plans.
• Coordinate partner implementation, provide technical guidance, and integrate cross‑cutting themes such as gender, child protection, and disability.
• Mobilise and train community health workers and volunteers, offering mentorship and capacity‑building support.
• Document project successes, conduct research, and capture child wellbeing indicators for reporting.
• Lead budgeting, financial tracking and reporting for health and nutrition programmes, ensuring compliance with donor and organisational policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, nutrition or public health.
• Minimum three years of experience coordinating health and nutrition projects, with strong knowledge of maternal and child health approaches.
• Committed Christian able to work across denominational differences.
• Motivated, accountable and able to work independently and within diverse teams.

Required skills

• Logical framework approach for project design and monitoring.
• Data analysis software: SPSS, Microsoft Excel, Stata.
• Research, analysis and report writing.
• Facilitation and presentation skills.
