Information Extraction Specialist

About the role

The Information Extraction Specialist will design and operate pipelines that turn unstructured and semi‑structured data—such as contracts, medical records, financial reports, and news articles—into clean, structured datasets. Working remotely, you will collaborate with annotation teams and stakeholders to ensure high‑quality extraction outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain end‑to‑end information extraction pipelines for multiple document domains.
• Create and manage training datasets, define sampling strategies, and oversee annotation quality.
• Evaluate model performance using precision, recall, F1 and conduct error analysis to drive improvements.
• Assess, integrate, and customize open‑source and commercial extraction tools.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline the extraction process.
• Adapt extraction systems to new domains by quickly acquiring domain knowledge and updating guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in information extraction, NLP, or computational linguistics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to design clear annotation schemas and handle edge cases.
• Experience interpreting evaluation metrics and implementing data‑driven improvements.
