Gender and Youth Inclusion Senior Specialist (Fixed-Term)

About the role

We are seeking a senior specialist to lead gender and youth inclusion initiatives for One Acre Fund’s Burundi program. The role will support the implementation of the gender strategy across staff, field teams and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive Gender and Inclusion Toolkit and Technical Guide for internal trainers, including presentation decks, manuals and facilitation tools.
• Design and deliver training missions, produce reports with attendance, evaluations and gap analyses, and facilitate specialized sessions for Women’s Committee members.
• Create gender‑inclusive training curricula for field (farmer‑facing) and administrative contexts, along with workbooks and reflection guides for mentees.
• Facilitate Women ERG sessions, draft an Inclusive Manager’s Guide, and produce awareness materials such as posters on zero‑tolerance sexual harassment.
• Provide talking points and guidance for managers and field directors to integrate gender considerations into quarterly meetings and daily operations.
• Conduct a gender and youth landscape assessment and design a program strategy targeting 10,000 youth and 70 % young women, establishing youth engagement mechanisms.
• Collaborate with global gender and youth teams to align country roadmaps, share best practices and contribute to One Acre Fund’s broader youth agenda.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing inclusive programme strategies and gender‑responsive interventions.
• Expertise in training design, facilitation and skill‑transfer methodologies.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and survivor‑centred practices.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
• Strong project execution and management capabilities.
