Resource Development Manager (Local Position)

About the role

The Resource Development Manager will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of grant acquisition and donor engagement strategies for a global humanitarian organization. This position coordinates cross‑functional teams to secure public and private funding, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Revise and roll out the grants acquisition and management strategy in line with global and regional objectives.
• Assist senior leadership in setting realistic annual grant income projections.
• Lead high‑level task forces to identify, prioritize and allocate resources for new funding opportunities.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for proposal development, pre‑positioning and issue resolution.
• Track and report grant portfolio performance against income targets.
• Research donor landscape, organise pre‑positioning meetings and cultivate key donor relationships.
• Coordinate with communications to develop impact statements and donor‑focused materials.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date donor engagement plan and opportunity tracking system.
• Recruit, onboard and manage a competent resource development team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant acquisition, donor relations and resource development within the nonprofit or humanitarian sector.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Strategic thinking with ability to align funding initiatives to organisational targets.
• Excellent analytical skills for donor landscape research and performance reporting.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
