Inventory and Warehouse Operations Specialist

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a strategic logistics leader to design, scale, and oversee inventory systems across Burundi. The specialist will drive operational excellence, mitigate risks, and support nationwide growth by ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inventory storage, handling, and control processes across all warehouses.
• Ensure warehouses meet OAF operational and safety standards and maintain 5S compliance.
• Monitor inventory quality, conduct root‑cause analysis for discrepancies, and implement corrective actions within one month.
• Maintain accurate monthly inventory reconciliations and data integrity.
• Manage product life‑cycle activities, including warranty, after‑sales support, reconditioning, and disposal of unusable inventory.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and capacity building for Warehouse Managers and specialists.
• Design and continuously improve SOPs and performance‑management frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of leading root‑cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to design scalable inventory systems and drive process improvements.
• Leadership experience in coaching and developing warehouse teams.
