Supply Associate (G-6) – Fixed Term – Bujumbura, Burundi

About the role

The Supply Associate will work under the supervision of the Supply and Logistics Specialist to manage end‑to‑end supply chain activities for UNICEF Burundi. This fixed‑term position supports the country programme’s planning, procurement and emergency response needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor supply planning, forecasting, and performance indicators aligned with programme work plans.
• Support emergency preparedness, including long‑term arrangements, contingency planning and pre‑positioning of stock.
• Assist with end‑to‑end procurement processes: sourcing, tendering, evaluation, contract management and purchase orders.
• Ensure compliance, value for money and proper documentation throughout procurement and logistics activities.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange, training and onboarding to build capacity across supply functions.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in supply chain, logistics or procurement, preferably in an international development context.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring and evaluating supply operations.
• Good communication skills in English.
