About the role

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement recruitment strategies to fill critical positions across the organization.
• Develop and oversee learning and development programs that enhance employee skills and career growth.
• Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews and feedback.
• Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and fostering a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align people initiatives with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading HR or people functions in a development or non‑profit setting.
• Strong understanding of Burundi labor regulations and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast‑moving environment.
