Content Moderator – Trust & Safety Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist) to join our remote team worldwide. You will review user‑generated text, images and videos, ensuring they comply with platform policies and legal standards while maintaining a safe online community.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported content across text, image and video formats, focusing on high‑priority queues and edge cases.
• Monitor daily queues to detect emerging abuse patterns and promptly escalate to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements.
• Maintain a high accuracy rate (95%+) on moderation decisions and participate in calibration sessions.
• Investigate removal or suspension cases and make fair reinstatement determinations.
• Serve as a designated responder during “red‑alert” incidents such as graphic live streams or coordinated harassment campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in content moderation, trust & safety operations or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• Strong emotional resilience and ability to review disturbing content without compromising well‑being.
• Deep understanding of regional cultural nuances and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected political expression.
• Proven track record of processing high volumes (80‑100+ items per hour) while maintaining quality metrics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderation tools such as Hive, Besedo and Salesforce.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace.
