Driver – Transport IOM Staff and Goods

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two qualified drivers to operate its vehicles in Burundi. The successful candidates will transport IOM staff, partners and authorized goods safely and efficiently, supporting humanitarian operations across the country.
Key responsibilities
- Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s) to transport staff and goods.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, fan belt, etc.) and arrange minor repairs.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular service intervals are met.
- Keep accurate records of spare parts and conduct monthly inventory.
- Plan the most direct and safe routes using the best available roads.
- Ensure vehicles are used solely for official IOM purposes.
Required profile
- Burundian national with a valid driver’s licence.
- Good knowledge of local road networks and traffic conditions.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of safety.
- Ability to keep detailed maintenance and inventory records.
