Logistics, Security, and Fleet Officer

About the role

The Logistics, Security, and Fleet Officer will provide day‑to‑day operational support for Jhpiego’s MNCH‑N project in Burundi. Based in Bujumbura, the officer ensures safe, efficient, and compliant implementation of project activities across all provinces, supervising drivers and coordinating logistics and security functions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate logistical arrangements for workshops, trainings, meetings, and field missions.
• Manage movement of staff and materials in line with Jhpiego procedures.
• Oversee office logistics, including supplies, meeting room setup, and operational support.
• Supervise drivers, schedule vehicle servicing, and ensure compliance with Jhpiego vehicle policies.
• Serve as the Security Focal Point, monitoring national and provincial security contexts and advising senior management.
• Implement security procedures such as visitor management, travel approvals, and emergency protocols.
• Liaise with NGOs, local authorities, and vendors to maintain up‑to‑date security information and logistical services.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits and operational reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics operations, fleet management, and security coordination.
• Ability to supervise drivers and manage vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with Jhpiego policies and security manuals.
• Willingness to travel to provincial sites as needed.
