Network Support Engineer – Burundi

About the role

We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance and availability of our network infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting network issues, maintaining equipment and supporting day‑to‑day network operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑level support for network incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing problems.
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, respond to alerts and resolve outages.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Assist with network maintenance, upgrades and implementation projects.
• Communicate status and resolution of issues in a timely manner.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in network support or a similar role.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with Cisco or comparable networking equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Relevant certifications such as CNA or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory is an advantage.
