Resource Development Manager

About the role

The Resource Development Manager will lead the design and implementation of World Vision’s grant acquisition and management strategy across public and private sectors. Reporting to the PDQA Director and senior leadership, the role ensures alignment with global and regional objectives while driving innovative resource‑generation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead revision and rollout of the grants acquisition and management strategy and business plan, aligning with global, regional and country targets.
• Assist senior leadership in setting realistic annual grant income projections and assess competencies to promote cross‑functional innovation.
• Coordinate opportunity prioritisation, resource allocation and Go/No‑Go decisions for new resource acquisition.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for proposal development, pre‑positioning and issue resolution, and track grant portfolio performance against income targets.
• Research and monitor the donor landscape, organise pre‑positioning meetings, and cultivate key donor relationships.
• Work with communications to develop impact statements, marketing materials and donor engagement plans.
• Recruit, onboard and manage resource development staff and maintain an efficient grant opportunity tracking system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant acquisition, management and donor engagement within the nonprofit or humanitarian sector.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills, with a track record of managing cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic donor engagement plans and to produce performance reports for senior leadership.
• Experience recruiting and supervising resource development personnel.
