Programme Manager – Health & Development

About the role

The Programme Manager will support the HIV, Health and Development Group within the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS) to advance UNDP’s 2026‑2030 health strategy. The role contributes to Outcome 3 of the UNDP Strategic Plan by strengthening institutions and promoting inclusive health governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing the UNDP HIV, Health and Development Strategy 2026‑2030.
• Coordinate with UNDP, UNCDF, UNV and external partners to align programme activities with the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Provide policy guidance and technical advice on health‑related social determinants, legal environments, and access to medicines.
• Monitor and report on programme results, ensuring compliance with UNDP’s results‑based management framework.

Required profile

• UNDP/UNCDF/UNV staff eligible under the tiered application process (Tier 0‑3 as applicable).
• Proven experience in programme management, preferably in health, development or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong understanding of UN development frameworks, HIV/AIDS issues, and multi‑stakeholder coordination.
