Project EiE/ECD Coordinator

About the role

The Project EiE/ECD Coordinator provides overall leadership, management and direction for education‑in‑emergencies (EiE) and early childhood development (ECD) activities. The role ensures high technical quality, compliance with humanitarian standards, and effective use of resources to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead programme management, overseeing budget, resources, personnel and partners to deliver the project on time and within scope.
• Ensure all activities meet technical quality standards, integrate protection and humanitarian principles, and align with SCI performance indicators.
• Collaborate with MEAL teams to embed monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes throughout project implementation.
• Facilitate regular technical support, trainings and material development to maintain quality standards.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, producing timely and accurate reports for donors and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with advocacy, communications and awards teams to ensure consistent messaging and donor engagement.
• Support human resources processes, including staff assessments and capacity building.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in programme management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of MEAL frameworks, results‑based management and protection mainstreaming.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage partnerships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
