Workday HCM Systems Consultant

About the role

The Workday HCM Systems Consultant partners with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective Workday solutions. You will own the full delivery lifecycle—from intake and requirements gathering through configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support—while mentoring system analysts and building internal capability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and design business systems to align with enterprise strategy and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Configure, test, and optimize Workday HCM modules, resolving complex issues across integrated processes and data structures.
• Implement and deploy new Workday features, enhancements, and integrations to improve usability, compliance, and performance.
• Design and develop reports and analytics that support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Prepare and present solution recommendations, configuration strategies, and improvement plans to stakeholders.
• Act as an escalation point for advanced technical support and system‑related issues.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in HRIS or enterprise applications, with a focus on HR technology solutions.
• 5+ years of hands‑on Workday HCM configuration and production support across core and additional modules (Compensation, Absence, Benefits, Talent, Learning, Payroll).
• Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end implementations, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a consultative approach to gathering requirements and recommending solutions.
• Workday Pro certification preferred, especially in HCM Core or related modules.
• Experience with the full Workday suite (HCM and Finance) is a plus.
