Programme Development and Quality Assurance Director

About the role

The Programme Development and Quality Assurance Director leads the design, acquisition and management of funding and ensures that all programmes meet World Vision’s child‑wellbeing standards. This senior position reports to senior leadership and works across national and support offices to align technical approaches with the organisation’s strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the acquisition of diversified bilateral and multilateral funding by overseeing concept paper and proposal development.
• Develop and roll out the National Office grants acquisition and management strategy aligned with the overall organisational plan.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for pre‑positioning, proposal development and grant performance monitoring.
• Guide divisions to align technical approaches and programmes with World Vision’s child‑wellbeing priorities.
• Ensure quality reporting, indicator tracking and communication of impact to key stakeholders.
• Supervise the development and implementation of operational guidelines, monitoring and evaluation processes, and compliance with donor, SPHERE and internal standards.
• Oversee the design of sustainable, high‑impact programmes that meet performance indicators and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in grant acquisition, programme development and quality assurance within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of child‑wellbeing frameworks, donor requirements and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
