About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a G‑4 Administrative Assistant to support its mission in Burundi. Working under the Chief of Mission, the incumbent will provide day‑to‑day administrative assistance and help coordinate activities across the mission’s units, sub‑offices, clinic and transit centre.
Key responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Chief of Mission in daily mission operations.
- Facilitate coordination among senior management, programme teams and external partners.
- Assist in the organization of meetings, travel arrangements and documentation.
- Maintain records, filing systems and office supplies for the main office and five sub‑offices.
- Support liaison with international, national and local authorities as required.
Required profile
- National of Burundi.
- Experience in administrative support within an international or governmental setting.
- Ability to work under the direction of senior management and handle multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills in English (and local language if applicable).
