Finance Officer – REACH Malaria Project

About the role
PATH is seeking a Finance Officer to support the USG‑funded REACH Malaria project in Burundi. The role will manage financial operations, ensure compliance with USAID and PATH policies, and provide logistical and administrative support to the project team.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets, prepare financial projections, forecasts and cash requests, and keep management updated on spending.
- Ensure compliance with USAID and PATH regulations, advise staff on donor requirements, and support internal and external audits.
- Analyze monthly and quarterly project expenses, including partner financial reports, and coordinate the annual budgeting process.
- Support procurement of commodities and equipment, manage consultant agreements, and assist with logistics for trainings and workshops.
- Oversee property and asset management, including IT, transportation and insurance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or a related business field.
- Minimum five years of administrative and financial management experience in an international organization, preferably with USAID funding.
- Thorough knowledge of USAID rules and regulations and strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Professional proficiency in English (both oral and written).
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Experience with financial reporting and data analysis.
- Auditing skills, including preparation of documents for internal and external audits.
