Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across the business, supporting commercial operations, telecommunications regulatory matters, network and technology contracts, corporate governance, disputes and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including network infrastructure, sharing, interconnection, roaming, tower, fibre, technology, managed services, vendor supply, software, cloud, licensing, distribution and enterprise contracts.
• Advise on telecommunications and ICT laws, support compliance with operating licences, spectrum, interconnection and infrastructure sharing, and monitor regulatory developments.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to Commercial, Network, Technology, Finance, Procurement, HR and Operations teams, and support new product and service initiatives.
• Assist with corporate transactions, partnerships, joint ventures, due diligence for investments and acquisitions.
• Advise on data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and consumer protection legislation, and support internal compliance programmes.
• Manage commercial disputes, contractual claims, regulatory investigations and coordinate litigation or arbitration with external counsel.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with strong commercial experience.
• Previous experience within a mobile network operator, telecommunications operator or broader TMT environment is preferred.
• Proven ability to advise across multiple business functions and handle complex regulatory and dispute matters.
