Resources Management Officer (RMO) – Fixed‑term (1 year)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Resources Management Officer (RMO) to supervise and manage budgetary, financial, human‑resources and administrative functions of its Country Office and Sub‑Office(s). The role reports to the Chief of Mission and works closely with the Senior Regional Resources Management Officer, the Department of Financial and Administrative Management at Headquarters and the Global Shared Services Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee financial management for all Country Office activities, ensuring expenditures comply with donor agreements.
• Conduct financial analysis of programmes, prepare budget reports and review monthly accounts.
• Supervise treasury functions, forecast cash flows and control fund disbursements.
• Validate receipt and appropriate use of funding in line with donor requirements.
• Prepare programme and budget reports in accordance with IOM regulations.
• Support human‑resources and administrative processes as required.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, public administration or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in resource management, financial oversight and treasury functions, preferably in an international or UN‑related environment.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior management and coordinate with regional and headquarters units.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
