Technical Manager – Burundi

About the role

The Technical Manager will lead the technology function for GardaWorld in Burundi, overseeing maintenance, installations, sales and profitability of security solutions across Bujumbura and the country.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technology contracts, ensure profitability, implement cost‑saving controls and monitor gross margins.
• Oversee staff performance, turnover analysis, training participation, disciplinary actions and succession planning.
• Coordinate installation projects with subcontractors, maintain quality standards and conduct inspections.
• Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, expanding existing accounts and monitoring competitors.
• Lead project management for surveys, installations, repairs and preventive maintenance of CCTV, alarm, fire, perimeter detection, telecom and networking systems.
• Conduct research and development to upgrade infrastructure, improve efficiency and deliver innovative client solutions.
• Ensure compliance with GardaWorld Business Management System, conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage technology contracts and financial performance.
• Experience in leading technical teams, coordinating with subcontractors and enforcing company code of conduct.
• Strong client relationship skills with a focus on retention and service quality.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance and documentation standards in security services.
