Accountability and Safeguarding Coordinator – Africa Based

About the role

World Relief is seeking an Accountability and Safeguarding Coordinator to strengthen its accountability and safeguarding systems across international programs. The role supports country offices, regional teams, and partners in implementing complaint and feedback mechanisms, safeguarding policies, and child protection procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist country offices in establishing and improving Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms (CFMs), monitoring their functionality and addressing gaps.
• Support the rollout and monitoring of safeguarding, PSEAH, and child protection policies, including compliance checklists and action plans.
• Coordinate capacity‑building activities such as training development, delivery, and maintenance of learning resources.
• Provide administrative and operational support for investigations, reporting, and continuous improvement of accountability processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Accountability & Safeguarding Director, Technical Advisor, and regional staff to ensure consistent implementation and organizational learning.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian principles and protection of vulnerable populations.
• Experience working in international or multi‑country program environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including local partners and church communities.
