Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

About the role

A local, fixed-term position for a Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator within an international NGO focused on helping vulnerable children overcome poverty. The role covers project monitoring, baseline and evaluation, risk management and reporting and learning, with regular travel to project areas.

Key responsibilities

• Project monitoring: review implementation plans monthly, adapt monitoring tools, enter data into the M&E database and report to the project DME Manager
• Support planning meetings, update output data in the Indicator Tracking Tool and help staff write monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Monitor beneficiary lives, identify change stories and share them with managers and staff
• Baseline and evaluation: work with the DME Manager on Terms of Reference and carry out assigned tasks
• Risk management: conduct context monitoring, implement M&E risk controls from the project MWRAP and respond to emerging issues
• Reporting and learning: review reports against the logframe and ITT, document and share lessons learned

Required profile

• University degree in International Development Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics, Management or a related field
• At least 3 years of practical experience in program assessment, design, baseline and monitoring and evaluation with an international NGO or similar
• Excellent written reports in French and English, teamwork and strong interpersonal skills
• Understanding of donor expectations for M&E and ability to build coalitions for sustainable community development

Required skills

• Quantitative and qualitative methods, including questionnaire design, surveys, data processing, analysis and dissemination
• Word processing, databases, spreadsheets and graphics; SPSS, Excel, Epi-Info, PowerPoint and Access

Travel to project areas is required regularly, and on-call duty as needed. Local applicants only.
